These Paths We Take (Short Film)

On a small family farm in rural England, a young teenager must finally decide his role in life. He lives with his dying father, who has always been a peaceful and respected citizen, and his older brother, a self destructive and selfish tyrant who favours the drink and is looking forward to inheriting the farm only to turn it into a housing estate and forget its existence. He must choose to follow somebody's example, and he may have to choose sooner than he thought.
Jack (Gender: Male)
A young, naive yet strong willed teenager, roughly 16 years old. The main character of the story who must decide who to follow in life. He is able to listen to his peers yet has no fear of speaking his mind, which sometimes sets him into a state of anger and confusion with his brother.
Stephen (Gender: Male)
the main antagonist of the story, some may see him as an antihero. He is is determined, opinionated and cocky. Stephen tends to look out for himself, which ditances him from his family. He has no fear of confrontation, as he frequently returns home with fresh bruises from the night before. He is eager to inherit the farm to sell it off and use the money elsewhere, and doesn't seem to care about the consequences of his actions.
Robert (Gender: Male)
Robert is the soft-spoken patriarch of the family. He is dying of terminal cancer and hopes his sons will grow up to be good men, however he has almost completely lost hope in Stephen.
Work to edit the final piece together, both audio and camera footage. I will work alongside however will not overstep the editor's critical decisions.
Work to help finance and produce the film project throughout its production time, using money either donated or independantly raised.
Work to operate the Boom equipment and record all necessary audio for the project.
